• Ooni Pellet Burner Quick Start Guide
Using a blowtorch:
Add a full scoop of pellets to your grate
Slide the grate back inside the burner
Point your blowtorch flame through the hole located on the right hand-side of the pellet burner
Keep heating for approximately 30 seconds until your pellets are lit
Gradually add pellets until they reach just below the top of the hopper. Take care not to add too many at once or this may put out your fire.
Using Uuni Firestarters (or other woodshavings):
Place your Firestarter at the lip of your grate
Add a full scoop of pellets to your grate
Light the Firestarter and slide the grate back into the pellet burner.
Once the pellets begin to burn, gradually add more pellets until they reach just below the top of the hopper. Take care not to add too many at once or this may put out your fire.
Using barbecue lighting fluid:
Add a full scoop of pellets to your grate
Add some barbecue lighting fluid. Take care not to oversoak the pellets - about a teaspoonful should do.
Light the fluid
Slide the grate back in to the pellet burner
Once the pellets begin to burn, gradually add more pellets until they reach just below the top of the hopper. Take care not to add too many at once or this may put out your fire.
After 10-15 minutes of preheating your Ooni 3 will be ready to cook a pizza in 60 seconds.
