- Use a clean and non-abrasive cleaning sponge.
- Avoid any abrasive sponges or cleaning implements that may damage the non-stick PizzaProtect™ finish.

Do’s and Don'ts
DO’s:
- Clean the pan with lukewarm water and mild detergent
- Use a non-abrasive cleaner
- Use the pan without the stainless steel lid within the recommended temperature range suggested, under 370 °C / 700 °F
- When using the stainless steel lid, the maximum temperature should be 300 °C/572 °F.
- Pat dry the pan before storage
- Use the lid during the beginning of the cooking process to allow the base of the pizza to cook and protect over burning of the toppings
DON’Ts:
- Do not use the Ooni Detroit-style pizza pan at temperatures above 370 °C/700 °F as this may cause damage to the pan’s structure.
- Do not use the Ooni Detroit-style pizza pan stainless steel lid at temperatures above 300 °C/572 °F as this may cause damage to the lid's structure.
- Do not expose the pan to direct flame. This will cause discolouration.
- Do not heat an empty pan. This will cause warping and discolouration.
- Do not wash the pan in a dishwasher as this will damage the non-stick finish.
- Do not exceed cooking temperatures suggested in the recipe as it may lead to food becoming burned.
- Do not keep sauces (including sauces with high concentrations of citrus) in the pan for long periods of time. The residue of sauces must be cleaned properly to avoid discolouration.
- Do not use any sharp objects to release burnt residue on the pan. Always soak the pan and allow the charred area to release the residue before cleaning.
Change in colour to the stainless steel lid
The stainless steel lid may show some patina (refers to a change in colour that builds up on the stainless steel lid over the period of use when exposed to high temperatures). This will not impact the performance of the product in any way and can be removed from the lid by using "Bar Keepers Friend" steel cleaner (see picture below. Follow the instructions provided on the cleaner. Do not use this cleaner on the pan itself.
