Fitting the silicone seal in Ooni Topping Container lid
October 17 2023 10:04amIf the silicone seals on your Ooni Topping Containers easily come out of the lid, read below for some tips on how to avoid this from happening.
Make sure your lids are clean and dry
Ensure that both the lid and seal are completely clean and thoroughly dried before reinserting the seals into the seal rim. Any moisture or residual buildup could prevent an airtight seal.
Tip: For any water that collects in the lid's seal rim, pass a kitchen towel through it to ensure thorough drying.
Fitting the silicone seals
Before pushing the seal into place, line this up with the lid's seal rim.
For Ooni Topping Container (Small):
- Begin by fitting the silicone seal into the lid's seal rim at the top and bottom, followed by pressing in the middle of either side (as shown below)
For Ooni Topping Container (Medium):
- Start by pressing the silicone seal into place at each corner
Once the corners and sides of the silicone seal have been positioned, continue by gently pressing down the remaining portions of the seal, as shown below.
Avoid stretching or sliding the seals during installation as excess silicone may prevent proper alignment.
Close the lid
Once the silicone seal has been installed, place the lid onto the container and firmly press down to create an airtight seal. To maintain a secure seal, ensure the inside of the container where the seal contacts it is dry.
