How do I set up my Ooni Karu 2 (formerly Karu 12G) with the gas burner?

The Ooni Karu 2 is only compatible with the Ooni Karu 2 Gas Burner. It cannot be used with the Ooni 3 Gas Burner.

Always ensure your oven is completely cool before setting up.

How to connect:

1. Begin by removing the draft defender plate from the rear of the oven.
   
   
2. Insert the gas burner into the back of the oven and securely fasten it with the bolts.

3. Connect your regulator to your gas tank and ensure the gas flow is open.
4. Prior to firing up, take the following steps:
   1. Remove the solid fuel tray, if present
   2. Open the oven door
   3. Remove the rear fuel hatch door
   4. Ensure the chimney is fixed to the oven, with chimney cap removed and baffle fully open
5. Slowly turn the gas burner control dial for approximately 5 seconds until you hear a 'click' sound.
6. Once ignited, continue to hold the dial in for an additional 5 seconds before releasing it. If the gas burner fails to ignite, turn the dial back to the "off" position and wait for 5 minutes before attempting again.
7. Replace the rear hatch and securely close the oven door.
